CultureMap Austin Launch Party

CultureMap Austin Launch Party Invitation

Tonight, the new daily digital online magazine, CultureMap Austin, is hosting a launch party at Pine Street Station. Austin is a community that has the destination appeal that one cannot find in other cities and CultureMap Austin brings to life the intricate nuances that make our city grand.

CultureMap Austin touts that they will keep Austin “plugged in, enlightened and entertained about culturally relevant news and information by deliver real-time coverage, breaking news and opinions on music, film, food, drink, arts, design, style, life, innovation, scene, outdoors, fitness and sports.  Their desire is to foster real-time conversation.

Designer and Blogger Maureen Stevens (Inglenook Decor and Inspired by Ms. Stevens blog), Hayley Cake & Cookies and Jetté Momant PR & Events client Chef Jocelyn Lefall (SugaPlump Pastries) have joined their creative powers together to design the ultimate CultureMap Austin themed dessert bar, starting with a delish cookie tree.

Here’s a sneak peak:

CultureMap Austin Cookie Tree

The design all started with a tree. The branches represent

the diverse branches of Austin life.

iPhone Cookies: Austin Innovation & Tech Scene

Next, iPhone cookies,

to represent Austin innovation

and emerging tech scene.

Film Reel Cookies: Austin's Film Scene

Then, film reels for Austin’s

award winning creative film industry.

Guitar Cookies: Austin Music Scene

The tree would not have been a true representation of Austin,

had there not been some reference to our awesome live music scene.

We truly are spoiled.

Martini Glasses Cookies: Austin's Food & Drink Scene

And then, there’s my favorite: Austin’s culinary culture. With a people to restaurant ration of 634, a food blogger population second only in size to New York, the International Association of Culinary Professionals hosting their annual conference in Austin this past June and over 1,088 eating establishments in the city, Austin,  is proving it can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with or above the restaurants in the traditional major food meccas of New York, Chicago, or San Francisco.
